 Africa Literature and Media Assistance - ALA

ALA is a ministry of the Africa Harvest Ministries office that assists the African church and missionaries with literature and media needs.  ALA maintains an archive of materials related to evangelism, Sunday school, and discipleship training materials that have been produced either in Africa or specifically for use in the African church context.  In addition, ALA serves as the production facilitator of most special publication needs.  Current ongoing projects include publication of:

Living the Truth Bible Curriculum

Living the Truth Bible Lessons is a seven year 14 volume Sunday School curriculum written by Africans throughout the continent.

Safari Club Curriculum

The Safari Club Curriculum is written by Ed Corbin for use among African churches in ministry to the children of Africa.

 

 

 

 

REAP AIDS Curriculum

Vern and Belva Tisdalle (South Africa) are the authors of this curriculum that focuses on AIDS awareness education and prevention.

 

Edward the Elephant

Edward is an AIDS evangelism tract written by AHPAC director Don Tucker.  It has now been translated into 12 different languages and is used extensively throughout Africa.

 

 

 

Who will Cry for Me?

Dr. Joann Butrin partnered with ALA to produce another wonderful AIDS education tool for use in the churches.

 

Decade of Harvest

Edited by Don Tucker and Stephen Jester, this is a compilation of church reports from the years 1990 - 2000.

 

 

 

HIV and Life Positive

This is another great AIDS awareness tool written by Don Tucker and published by the International Bible Society.  It has been translated into several world languages and is in world-wide circulation.

 

 

 

Other endeavors include research projects that facilitate children's ministries efforts throughout the continent, and includes assisting with the production of appropriate media presentations.
